Feeling good this morning
This is awesome — see where you are at in the world while in the middle of your flight. I can’t tell you how often i’ve tried to remember the terrain/landmarks while flying so i could look it up in google maps when i got home.
MondoWindow Shows You What You Are Seeing Below When Flying
MondoWindow is a new site that aims to help you overcome this coastal elitism. If your flight offers Wi-Fi service, you can log in to the MondoWindow site from the air, type in your flight number and airline, and be instantly served a bunch of data on where you are. You get a zoomable satellite image of the terrain below you, with links to items of interest on the ground, pulling geo-tagged content from Flickr, Wikipedia and the site founder’s own research.

“This is worth repeating. It’s in Apple’s DNA that technology is not enough. It’s tech married with the liberal arts & the humanities. Nowhere is that more true than in the post-PC products. Our competitors are looking at this like it’s the next PC market. That is not the right approach. These are post-PC devices that need to be easier to use than a PC, more intuitive.”

101 Whiskies to Try Before You Die
Anyone down to help me complete this list in the next year or two?
Start now.
(via meganz)
I’m a week away from 32. Does that mean it’s okay for me to start giving advice? Kind of like steven sagmeister i’m slowly acquiring my own list of things that i’ve learned so far and this is definitely one of them.
just start. next year is going to happen* and unless you make a major change, not much is going to be different. you probably won’t have that much more money or time. you probably won’t have a ton of new contacts but you will still want to do that thing you are thinking about right now. why not go ahead and start it? you’ll be a year further along. even if that idea doesn’t pan out you’ll open up all sorts of other ideas you could have never gotten to unless you just started.
that’s it.
i’ll go back to trying to figure this thing out and report back when i learn something else worth spreading.
