I sent a few boxes of old 4x6 prints from my early days as a baby pup photographer off to get scanned a couple weeks ago. I've been going through and trying to organize them a bit and came across a few images like these here of Erykah Badu. I wish i could remember what year it was (whenever her second album dropped). A friend of mine had some sort of 1 degree connection and got me a impromptu photoshoot with her backstage after a show in Cincinnati.

You never know when you'll need a hi-res file.

Also, this is what i like about Lightroom: I can do all my editing and even photoshop editing via the program and always have the full size .dng file. A lot of the above photos are things i edited pre-lightroom. They were don quickly using lo-res files just to get them up on flickr. shame on me.

Man At Work

Even though this week isn't a glamorous shoot in some fresh location with ridiculously sexy models it's still really fun.

I'm down south shooting with ologie for a Nationwide project. the last few days we go into a proper studio and shoot some bigger setups. i'll show you those when I can. Also, big shout to my new favorite assistant Timur, partner of BlackBox Studios in Charlotte. If you ever do a shoot in the area please get them to produce it. Amazing to work with.

ps: i'm laying in my bed around 6 am and MTV just played 3 videos in about 4 minutes. They don't show full vids anymore? where have i been!?

pss: I think my type is too small for the width of this column. I need to change that when I get home.
